Spring has Arrived

Report Date: March 30, 2009

Fishing in lower Tampa Bay and the St. Petersburg area was awesome this past month with the arrival of the giant Black Drum schools.

Throwing soft plastic jigs on 10# spinning gear, charters caught many fish over 30 pounds with a few near 70, talk about a battle! We also did pretty well on slot sized Snook and Reds fishing live bait.

Trout fishing got even hotter as did the Sheepies with many fish in the 4-5 pound range.

Spanish Mackerel started showing up too and should be in full swing within a week or 2. April fishing should be smokin' so come on down and getcha some! Thanks for lookin'
Tim
